JACKSON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — Police are investigating whether speed and a wet road contributed to a head-on crash that claimed the lives of two teenage sisters in Jackson Township.
The Asbury Park Press reports police believe 17-year-old Jaime Nicholson lost control of her car, crossed the center line and collided with a minivan on South Hope Chapel Road Tuesday.
Nicholson and her sister Francesca, who would have turned 16 on Thursday, died.
The driver of the minivan sustained minor injuries.
