Whole Foods Recalls Mislabeled Soup

AUSTIN, TX (CBS) – Whole Foods Market is recalling batches of soup due to mislabeling.

The company is recalling its Whole Foods Market Kitchens Roasted Garlic & Eggplant Soup, which is actually Lobster Bisque, in six states, including New Jersey. The soup was sold in 24-oz containers between Sept. 29 and Oct. 2, 2012. The sell-by date is Oct. 4.

The company says the bisque was mislabeled and could cause serious allergic reactions in customers with shellfish or milk allergies.

Other states affected by the recall are Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, Connecticut and New York.
