Thousands Attend One-Day Conference For Women In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Pennsylvania Conference for Women held it's annual one day convention in Philadelphia Tuesday. Thousands of women from all over the Keystone state gathered for workshops, seminars and speeches from some notable women.
Board President of the Pennsylvania Conference for Women Leslie Stiles says about 4,000 women are participating.
"We have breakout sessions on finance, small business, on climbing the corporate ladder on self-esteem, health care, just about something for everyone."
In addition there is also a young women's track for juniors and seniors who Stiles calls the leaders of tomorrow...she says the environment is such that ladies can learn everywhere they look.
"You are learning from expert speakers but you are in fact learning from each other. You're networking. You are going to see people you haven't seen for years. You are going to make new friends...and you are going to be stronger for this conference...no doubt about it! "
