ROBBINSVILLE, N.J. (AP) — All lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike reopened following a fiery accident that killed one person in Mercer County.
But transportation officials say one westbound lane of the Interstate 195 overpass will be closed for up to six weeks because of damage from the crash.
Authorities say a dump truck overturned Wednesday and burst into flames near Interchange 7A in Robbinsville. The driver, believed to be a 49-year-old Belleville man, was killed. The crash also damaged the overpass.
Officials say morning commutes on I-195 toward Trenton are expected to be “very difficult” and motorists should expect delays and seek alternate routes.
Overpass traffic will use a new overpass currently under construction when it is completed.
