PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A Philadelphia police officer has been arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

Police Sergeant Chanta Herder, a 42-year-old and 14-year veteran of the department, was reportedly involved in a minor accident with another vehicle on the 7900 block of Verree Road on Monday, Oct. 1.

Herder, who was off-duty at the time, was impaired at the scene of the accident. A breathalyzer test revealed her blood/alcohol level to be over the legal limit.

Herder has been assigned to administrative duty pending the outcome of an investigation.
