Beer Can Sells For $36,000 At Auction In Lancaster County

DENVER, Pa. (CBS) – A Gibbons Bock LP Cone Top beer can sold for $36,000 during a Morphy auction in Denver, Pennsylvania.

On September 21st and 22nd, Morphy’s auctioned off The Adolf Grenke Breweriana Collection, including rare beer cans, beer taps advertising signs.

The collection, with approximately 4,000 pieces from the 19th and early 20th century, was sold over the two-day event.

The Gibbons Bock LP Cone Top beer can was not the only item with a high price tag. Six other items, including an Anheuser-Busch Bock Beer Elves & Goat Lithograph and a Meister Brau Olive Drab Flat Top Beer Can, sold for over $20,000.
