PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A person was killed Tuesday evening after he was struck by a train in Southwest Philadelphia, according to authorities.
It happened a little after 6 p.m. near the 49th Street Station by Chester Avenue.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are not clear and there is no word on the person’s identity.
The accident caused service on SEPTA’s Media/Elwyn Line to be suspended for nearly three hours.
Authorities continue to investigate.
