Childhood Obesity Studies Underscore Problem

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - In the past six weeks there have been six separate studies which have looked at children and obesity. This tells us two things. The first is that this is a very big health problem and the second point is that there are problems associated with childhood obesity that need to be addressed.
One of the studies looked at ways to prevent obesity. A report looked at school lunches and the need to provide healthy alternatives as well as the importance of providing the opportunity for exercise during school days.
The other studies looked at the heavy price of not controlling obesity including early development of type 2 diabetes.
