PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – KYW Newsradio has a new lighted sign on-top of our Old City office building.

The thousand pound aluminum sign was hoisted by a giant crane more than 12 stories and fastened into place.

Overseeing things on the roof was Steve Butler, KYW Newsradio Director of News and Programming:

“We have been in the building for five years, but not long before we moved in we had spoken about the possibility of putting a sign on the roof of this building which would be part of the city skyline and put KYW in the same iconic position as PSFS down the street and Aramark down the street.”

The sign is LED lit and faces east. It has a bright blue CBS eye, followed by K-Y-W.
