What's Cooking on 1060: Anniversaries, Fundraisers, and Bargains

By Hadas Kuznits

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --   Jon Cichon, executive chef at La Croix Restaurant, in the Rittenhouse Hotel, says on September 24th La Croix will offer a ten-year anniversary reunion dinner.

"Basically, the game plan is we're going to bring back all the chefs from the past ten years.  Everybody's gonna do a course, so the theme is '10.'   It's gonna be ten courses, ten wines, from ten chefs -- and it's just for that one day."

Thursday, September 27th, is Bar AIDS, and participating restaurants including David Wagaman's Capriccio at Café Cret are contributing to the cause.

"Bar AIDS is where a portion of our proceeds for our coffee sales that day will go to support four organizations: Action AIDS, the AIDS Law Project, Missoni Center, and Philadelphia Fight."

So even though it's called Bar AIDS, it's not just the bars that are participating?

"Correct! It's cafés and coffee shops around the city of Philadelphia," Wagaman tells KYW Newsradio.
