Police: Escaped Prisoner Turns Himself In

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A 21-year-old man who escaped police custody by switching armbands with another prisoner turned himself in Friday night, according to police.

Authorities say Felix Gonzalez was in custody at a jail in the 25th Police District on the 3900 block of Whitaker Avenue when he managed to escape at about 10:30 a.m.

Gonzalez was arrested on Wednesday in the 3300 Block of N. Kip Street for narcotics violations and charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver and related offenses. He was being held on $50,000 bail.

Police say Gonzalez surrendered with his attorney.
