PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — In an effort to bring people closer, Twitter is giving itself a makeover.
The social media platform that has limited you to 140 characters per “tweet” is letting its hair down, allowing users the ability to add more personality to their Twitter pages.
Member profile photos have been moved from the top left to a spot in the center of the page, resembling the cover photo concept currently used on Facebook and Google Plus.
To add a header, visit your profile (the page that’s labeled “Me,” not your homepage). You can take a new photo or select one from your existing library.
Users can upload a long horizontal image, or “header.” The image size cannot exceed 1252×626 pixels, with a maximum file size of 5MB.
Your existing profile photo will be embedded in the center of the header.
The company also announced new apps for the iPhone, iPad, and Android mobile devices. To see our new header, follow us @KYWnewsadio!
