PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – An accident in the city’s Holmesburg section has one person dead and two others injured.

It happened around 3:15 p.m. on the 8300 block of State Road, when a male and female on a motorcycle reportedly got into an accident with a vehicle.

Both people on the motorcycle as well as the driver of the other car were transported to Aria Torresdale Hospital with injuries. A man in his 20s who was the driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at 4:14 p.m. The 23-year-old female who was riding the motorcycle is in critical condition.

State Road is closed between Ashburner & Rhawn Streets in both directions.
