PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – According to a new survey, women are more likely than men to let their pets sleep in the bed with them.

The survey, conducted by Consumer Reports, found that 70-percent of females, compared to 57-percent of males, let their pets, cats or dogs, sleep in the same bed with them. Consumer Reports surveyed 1,300 subscribers.

The survey also revealed that 50-percent of the responding pet owners, male and female, give their pets gifts for holidays. Thirty-six-percent sign cards with their pet’s name or photo, while two-percent have created a social media page, such as Facebook, for their pet.
