PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are searching for a man wanted for an indecent assault and robbery in Old City.

The incident happened on Sunday, Sept. 9 at around 2:45 a.m. A 26-year-old female says she was walking on 2nd Street between Race and Arch Streets when she was approached by a man from behind.

The suspect allegedly indecently assaulted her, then attempted to flee the scene with her purse.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-20s to early 30s. He has short, dark hair and dark stubble on his face and was wearing light-colored sneakers and khaki shorts. He has a medium build and stands between 5’7” and 5’10” and weighs between 155-165 lbs.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Philadelphia police.
