Fans Cautiously Optimistic After Eagles Home Opener Victory

By Robin Reiger and Dan Wing

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Eagles Fans were fired up at the Sports Complex in South Philadelphia Sunday following their team's big comeback win against the Baltimore Ravens.

It may not have been the smoothest victory, but all that matters for Eagles fans is they got the win.

"It's not a great win, but a win. A win's a win so we're 2-0," one fan said.

Before the Eagles pulled ahead 24-23 in the final minutes, which would be the games final score, fans where on the edge of their seats. The same drama of the game could be seen on those fan's faces inside and outside of Lincoln Financial Field.

"It was very much a nail-biter, but I never lost faith," this man said.

Some fans didn't think the Eagles had a shot to come back from their ten-point halftime deficit…

"I thought we were gonna lose that game after the 2nd, sorry, the 1st half," said this fan.

While other fans say they never stopped believing...

"I never give up hope," this man said.

That same fan did admit, though, that his confidence in QB Michael Vick, who has thrown 6-interceptions in the team's first two games, is a little shaken.

"I'm on the fence with Vick. I like Vick. His ability's unbelievable, but bad mistakes…that interception in the first half...I mean it was ridiculous."

But at the end of day the Eagles got the victory Sunday, which sent the rowdy crowd at the Linc home happy.

Off to a 2-0 start, how far can the Birds go?

"Playoffs! Yeah, playoffs...I hope," this hopeful fan said.

The Eagles are the first team in NFL history to win both their first two games by only one point, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.
