Suspect Taken Into Custody After Barricade Situation In Northwest Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A man was taken into custody after a domestic incident turned into a barricade situation.

According to police, a gun was pulled while two males fought over a female. The woman stated that the suspect, who is also her ex-boyfriend, come to 2020 West Ontario Street with a gun and then left.

Authorities say the suspect then returned to his home at 3304 North Street where he slammed the door on police when they came to investigate.

Northwest District Police and SWAT were at the scene, which was declared a barricade situation at about 1:06 a.m.

The suspect was taken into custody at about 1:50 a.m. without incident. Police recovered a shotgun and handgun. The suspect had a permit for both weapons.

No injuries were reported.
