NEWARK, Del. (CBS) – A Gold Alert has been issued for a missing man with dementia.

Police are searching for John Dohms, 64, who did not return to his home located on the 100 block of East Cleveland Avenue in Newark.

Dohms was last seen on Thursday at about 2 p.m. at his home.

He is described as a white male, 6’1″, 165 lbs, with gray hair, blue eyes and is believed to be wearing tan shorts.

Police say he is known to go to stores around Pomeroy Trail and Main Street.
