BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (CBS) – A fisherman made a gruesome discovery Tuesday when he found a body floating in a Burlington Township lake.
According to Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi, a fisherman spotted the body of an adult male in Sylvan Lake at about 2:15 p.m.
The Burlington County Medical Examiner An will perform an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death is under investigation.
An emergency vehicle headed to the scene to check out the initial report of the discovery was involved in an accident at US 130 and High Street in Burlington Township.
Two people were reportedly injured in the crash. One was transported to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, while the other was transported to Cooper University Hospital. The extent of their injuries was not immediately available.
