Two Dead, 3 Injured After Vehicle Crashes Into Group Of People In Lehigh County

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (CBS) – A car accident in Lehigh County left two people dead and three others in the hospital on Monday afternoon.

The accident happened at the intersection of Race Street and Cascade Drive in Hanover Township around 3:30 p.m., when a car traveling East on Race lost control and struck a utility pole.

After striking the pole, the 1996 Nissan Pathfinder driven by Caitlyn Clark, a 26-year-old from Nazareth, veered into a group of four men waiting at a LANTA bus stop.

Two of the men were reportedly trapped under the car; one was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three other individuals and the driver of the SUV were taken to area hospitals for treatment. One person died at the hospital.

The names of the deceased have been released. Angel Bosch, 28, of Easton was killed. Elias Tabarani, 51, of Allentown also died.

Angel Guerrido-Lopez, 38, and Lawrence Oyster, 37, both of Allentown, were injured.
