PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A Philadelphia restaurant has been singled out yet again for its outstanding cuisine.

Chef Marc Vetri’s Italian eatery, Vetri, has been named to Travel + Leisure’s list of the 30 “Best Italian Restaurants in the U.S.”

The Midtown Village spot was the only Philadelphia area restaurant to make the list. As T + L editors put it, “Philadelphia isn’t always given its due, but when it comes to Italian food, the country has a lot to learn from James Beard Award–winning chef Marc Vetri.”

Recently, one of Chef Vetri’s other Philadelphia restaurants, Alla Spina, was recognized by Bon Appetit as one of the 50 best new restaurants in the country.
