ATLANTIC COUNTY, NJ (CBS) – After all three campuses of a local community college were shut down on Tuesday, the Township of Hamilton Police Department has announced an arrest.
Atlantic Cape Community College’s Mays Landing, Atlantic City and Cape May Court House campuses were all shut down on Tuesday due to an undisclosed threat, according to the college’s website.
Hamilton police were called to the Mays Landing campus about a bomb threat after personnel at the campus intercepted threatening communication. The three ACCC locations were evacuated and closed while K-9 units and officers searched the area.
Investigations into the incident resulted in the arrest of Kelly T. Fuqua, a 26-year-old from Absecon, who was taken into police custody and charged with causing a False Public Alarm.
