Woman Arrested In Connection To 8 Burglaries In Atlantic County

EGG HARBOR TWP, NJ (CBS) – Egg Harbor Township police have arrested a woman they believe is responsible for eight residential burglaries in the area.

On Wednesday, Aug. 29th, Allison Nasta, a 28-year-old from New Hampshire, was arrested for being in possession of thousands of dollars worth of stolen property.

Police were originally called to the Hampton Motor Lodge in the West Atlantic County section of Egg Harbor to assist investigators from the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, who were looking into a fatal accident that happened one day earlier in Pleasantville and killed Nasta's husband.

During the investigation, police found numerous pieces of jewelry, computers, electronics, safes, cameras and person identification belonging to other people in the room that Nasta was residing in at the time of the accident.

A subsequent investigation by township detectives linked the stolen property to eight residential burglaries in nearby Mullica, Galloway and Linwood.

Egg Harbor police were able to return most of the property to the owners.
