PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A man was rushed to an area hospital after being struck by a train at SEPTA’s Fern Rock Station Friday afternoon.
Authorities say a little before 3 p.m., the man fell on the tracks on the Broad Street Line before being struck and trapped underneath the train. He is reportedly listed in critical condition.
A police investigation is underway.
As a result of the incident, service on the Broad Street line was suspended; shuttle buses are carrying passengers between Fern Rock and Erie stations.
