NFL Writer Says Michael Vick Isn't A Top Ten QB

By Spike Eskin

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Michael Vick said this is the most talented team he's ever played on. One NFL writer says that not only do the Eagles only have one "top ten" player on offense, but that player is not Michael Vick.

Michael Lobardi, of NFL.COM, wrote a piece ranking the top ten players at each position on offense in the NFL. He broke them down into "blue chip" players, who are the top five, and "red chip," who round out the top ten. The only Eagles player to get a mention is running back LeSean McCoy, who is ranked as a blue chip player.

Michael Vick, thought by many to be the key to the Eagles success this year, was not ranked in Lombardi's top ten. His blue chip QBs are Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Eli Manning, Drew Brees and Ben Roethlisberger. His red chip QBs are Cam Newton, Matt Schaub, Joe Flacco, Philip Rivers, and Matthew Stafford.

Though you can make a case for everyone on the list being better than Vick (for one season), I think an equal case can be made for Vick over Newton, Flacco, and Stafford.

What do you think? Is Michael Vick a top ten QB? Let us know why in the comments.
