I-95 North Reopened After Multi-Vehicle Crash In New Castle County

NEWARK, Del. (CBS) – A multi-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 95 in New Castle County shut down part of the highway for over an hour Wednesday afternoon.

The accident happened on the northbound lanes in Newark near the service plaza a little after 3 p.m., closing all northbound lanes at Route 896. The highway reopened shortly before 5 p.m. Commuters can expect delays.

No serious injuries were reported.

It’s not clear how the accident happened at this time. Authorities are investigating.
