Hamels Out With Gastrointestinal Illness, Tyler Cloyd To Start
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Phillies have announced that Cole Hamels will miss his start tonight against the Mets, and will be replaced on the mound by Tyler Cloyd.
It will be Cloyd's major league debut. He's 12-1 so far this season for Triple A Lehigh Valley, and 15-1 overall this year with a 2.26 ERA and a WHIP of 1.006 in 26 starts
The Phillies will make a corresponding roster to move to make room for Cloyd before tonight's game.
