Philadelphia's Pizza Museum Sets Opening Date

By Chelsea Karnash

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia's long-awaited pizza museum and pizzeria has announced an opening date.

Pizza Brain (see previous story), located in the city's Fishtown neighborhood, will be serving up its first slices to hungry Philadelphians on Friday, Sept. 7.

The grand opening celebration starts with a ribbon-cutting around 4:30 p.m. and will continue until midnight. A limited by-the-slice menu will be served all night, as will ice cream from Little Baby's, which shares retail space with Pizza Brain.

In addition to pizza and ice cream, Barry's Homebrew Outlet and Memphis Taproom will provide free beer, and there will be face-painters, magicians, live music and even mobile haircuts.

And if that's not enough to get you in the door, Little Baby's will be unveiling their special pizza ice cream during the festivities.
