PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -The National Constitution Center is challenging Americans to share their thoughts on the toughest issues facing the country in six words or less.
There are more than 20,000 entries on topics ranging from abortion to taxes and everything in between.
“As you walk into the exhibit, there are iPad kiosks and you type in your six words. Things like ‘read my lips, no new taxes’,” spokeswoman Alison Young said.
Young says submissions are also accepted online.
“So as people in Idaho and California and Texas are entering in their six words, those are showing up on the wall in the exhibit, too.”
She says the goal is to find out what people are really interested in this election season and how that matches up with what the candidates are talking about.
Bill from Baltimore’s entry focuses on gay marriage.
“Equal protection means equal access to marriage. There it just ran up on the board now.”
That was actually seven words, Bill, but who’s counting?
