OCEAN COUNTY, N.J. (CBS) – Two men were arrested in Bayville, N.J. after police found marijuana and a stun gun in their car on Wednesday.

According to Ocean County Prosecutor Marlene Lynch Ford, an investigation conducted by Detectives from the Prosecutor’s Special Operations Group as well as members of the Berkeley Township Police Department into drug activity in the area of Pheasant Drive in Bayville led to the arrest of David Walford, 22, and Rasheed Edward, 25.

As part of their investigation, officials conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 1992 gray Lexus. As the car was coming to a stop, the men in the vehicle allegedly threw a quantity of marijuana out the car window.

Authorities say they were able to stop the vehicle on Scott Drive and recover the marijuana. Police then searched the vehicle and found a stun gun as well as a small amount of cash.

Both men have been charged with the possession of marijuana, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of CDS marijuana with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public park, possession of a weapon while committing a CDS offense and tampering with physical evidence.

Bail has been set at $15,000 for Walford and $5,000 for Edwards.
