PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are searching for two suspects in connection with an early morning home invasion.

The incident happened shortly after midnight Tuesday in the 4000 block of Spring Garden Street in West Philadelphia.

According to investigators, two suspects knocked on the door of a 3rd floor apartment and then forced their way inside.

Once inside, police say the suspects stole a bike and some cash before running out of the apartment.

During the invasion, the suspects struck a victim in the head with an unknown object. The victim was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The suspects remain on the loose. Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
