NEWARK, Del. (CBS) – New Castle County Police were called to the 500 block of Laurel Lane to investigate a possible hate crime that occurred on Sunday.

Police responded to the scene at about 4:43 p.m., where a 45-year-old victim, who is a person of color, had reported that someone had spray-painted racial slurs on the sidewalk in front of her house and several of her neighbors’ residences.

The New Castle Police Department is asking anyone with information to call 302-395-8810 or send tips by phone at 800-TIP-3333 or by text at 847411.
