BLOG: Center City Repaving Alert!

By Jim Donovan: If you live, work, or plan to visit Center City Philadelphia in the upcoming weeks I wanted you to know about some scheduled road work that may disrupt traffic/parking.

The following streets in Center City are scheduled for street
improvement work starting Monday, August 20 and ending Friday, September 28, weather permitting.

To minimize disruption to traffic and area residents and businesses some of the work will be completed in the evening beginning at 7 PM.
Weather or special events in the area may alter the resurfacing schedule.

Residents are urged to move their cars from the work sites when temporary"No Parking" signs are posted so that vehicles are not towed. In the event a car is towed, please contact your local Police District to determine its location.

Here is the list of streets involved:

2nd from Callowhill to Market
3rd from Spring Garden to Market
4th from Spring Garden to Market
5th from Walnut to Spruce
7th from Market to Spring Garden
8th from Race to Market
9th from Vine to Market
10th from Callowhill South (Cherry to Market will be
skipped due to future utility work)
11th from Spring Garden to Market
12th from Race to Spring Garden
13th from Vine to Spring Garden
17th from Spruce to Chestnut
18th from Ben Franklin Parkway to Vine
19th from Market to Walnut
20th from Spruce to Walnut
23rd from Spruce to South
27th from Lombard to South
South Street from 18th to 20th
Lombard from Broad to 20th
Bank Street from Market to Chestnut
Letitia Street from Market to Chestnut
Franklin Street from 7th to Race
