PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - On today’s APP-tastic and outta-SITE – Reading Rainbow.

One of the classic PBS children’s shows is back – only it’s aiming to capture the attention of this generation of kids on the iPad.

Hosted by Levar Burton, Reading Rainbow offers a library of books to read, along with video clips and more that go a long way to making learning exciting. The app’s free, but to get the most of it, you’ll need to pay a subscription fee. It’s not cheap, but if you have a young kid, it’s some of the best money you’ll spend on an app.

Check out the Reading Rainbow app.
