WILDWOOD CREST, NJ (CBS) – An elderly man is dead after being hit by a car in Wildwood Crest.

Police received multiple calls about a pedestrian hit near the intersection of Heather Road and Ocean Avenue.

The victim, an elderly man, reportedly stepped off the curb and was hit by a car. He was flown to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Officials say that neither the driver nor the victim was a Wildwood resident.
