PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - On today’s APP-tastic and outta-SITE – Timeline: World War 2.

The Greatest Generation historically hasn’t gotten a lot of attention from the app world, but that has changed with this Timeline app.

Hosted by journalist Robert MacNeil, the app offers an authoritative look at the 2nd World War, with everything from streaming audio and video to commentary from MacNeil.

It’s a big app with hours upon hours of extra content you can stream and it’s one of the most interactive history lessons in the app store.
