PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are searching for suspects in connection with a violent home invasion that happened late Sunday night.

The home invasion happened at about 11:30 p.m. in the 100 block of E. Wishart Street in the city’s Kensington section.

According to investigators, two masked gunmen entered the home and confronted three family members.

Authorities say a 55-year-old father, a 48-year-old mother and their 26-year-old son were all tied up by the suspects. The son was pistol-whipped and suffered a lump above his right eye.

Investigators say the suspects ransacked the home and stole an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing.

The son was taken to Temple University Hospital to be treated for his eye injury and was later released.

The suspects remain on the loose. Anyone with information is urged to call police.
