Philadelphia Named 'Late Night Capital' Of America

By Jim Melwert

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - According to a men's magazine, The City of Brotherly Love is tops in the country for late-night food and fun.

When Frank Sinatra sang, "I want to wake up in the city that never sleeps", it's unlikely too many people thought he was talking about Philadelphia.

But, under the headline, "Eat like a man, late night edition", the magazine Esquire, says Philadelphia is the "Late night capital of the United States".

People who live here say not so much.

"Things close at two, so no. I mean I love Philly, but that's not true."

"It's not the late-night capital of the United States. I mean I don't know what is, but it's definitely not Philly."

Esquire gives us the nod for our love for all things meaty and cheesy, our great beer lists, and our quality music selections.
