PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Looking for a spot where you can watch local bands, sit at a tap table and serve yourself or keep your own personal bottle of Grand Marnier on reserve? Then Rebel Rock Bar & Bites in Northern Liberties is your new spot!
A lot of interesting things go on at Rebel Rock Bar that don’t fit the traditional feel of a music venue. Besides offering a variety of live music most nights of the week and every weekend, Rebel is definitely thinking outside the box.
There are a variety of extreme sports challenges, snowboarding or skydiving are events that will always be televised on one of the five TV’s in addition to the screens that are always dedicated to Philly sports teams. The tap tables were designed based on the kind in Ireland. And have you ever had the pleasure of being your own bartender…in a bar?
Then there is the wild fascination with Grand Marnier. Owner Brian Exley is a big fan who prefers to sip his “granma,” as he calls it, with a PBR back. Exley has also created a Grand Marnier-style lounge area on the second floor where individuals truly can buy and keep their own personal bottle on reserve.
Now if that isn’t out of the box, then what is?
