PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Philadelphia homicide detectives are investigating what appears to be a drug-related shooting death that may have been a home invasion.
The deadly incident happened at about 2 a.m. Wednesday in the 1400 block of South Vodges Street in Southwest Philadelphia’s Kingsessing section.
Authorities say a 35-year-old man died after being shot eight times at point-blank range.
The gunfire began outside on the street and ended up inside a home where the victim, believed to be the homeowner, was pronounced dead in the living room.
Detectives say they found some cash and drugs inside the home.
So far, there have been no arrests.
