PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Authorities say shootings in north and west Philadelphia sent three men to the hospital in critical condition.
Police say officers responding to a report of gunshots shortly before midnight Saturday saw a car speeding down a north Philadelphia street. Later, officers in another district saw two men helping another man out of a similar car outside the Temple University Hospital emergency room. An 18-year-old man with a gunshot wound was later listed in extremely critical condition.
Earlier, shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday, police found a 42-year-old man shot multiple times outside his car in west Philadelphia. He was hospitalized in critical condition.
Shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday, a 47-year-old man was found shot in his sport utility vehicle in north Philadelphia. He was listed in critical condition after surgery.
