PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Vocal prodigy Jackie Evancho brings her Dream With Me tour to the Mann Center on Saturday, August 25th. Mann Center President and CEO Catherine Cahill says the 12 year old Evancho’s otherworldly voice has catapulted her to the top of the charts.

“She opens her mouth and it’s not some young child. It sounds like an opera singer — I say Maria Callas. She is extraordinary. There’s no one that I know of, certainly in this generation, in this lifetime, if ever, who sounds like Jackie Evancho,” said Cahill.

Evancho will be accompanied by with the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia.

“She will be singing operatic favorites, love songs, popular songs — it’s a cross of some of the greatest music ever written,” Cahill explains.
