PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – It’s THON night at Citizens Bank Park!

Friday night’s Phillies game against the Arizona Diamondbacks is THON night in support of the philanthropy group based at Penn State University.

The Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, more commonly and affectionately known as THON, is the world’s largest student-run philanthropy. The group, consisting of over 15,000 student volunteers, seeks to raise funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer.

All fans are encouraged to wear their favorite THON gear to the game.
