HARRISBURG, Pa. (CBS) – Four individuals have been charged in connection with a drug trafficking network that distributed over $300,000 of heroin in southeastern Pennsylvania, according to authorities.

Randy Jimenez, 31, of Tioga Street in Philadelphia; Angela Perdomo, 41, of New York; David Garcia-Cruz, 32, of Reading, Pa.; and Erick Kinder, 38, of Douglassville, Pa. were arrested and charged Thursday after a five-month investigation by the Attorney General’s Office.

Authorities say Jimenez was the source of several quantities of heroin being purchased in Philadelphia and transported to Berks County for distribution and sale.

In June 2012, undercover agents, according to investigators, monitored the drug sale involving Jimenez and a suspected drug dealer from Reading. Angela Perdomo accompanied Jimenez to that meeting and allegedly assisted with the transaction.

The exchange allegedly involved the sale of 200 grams of heroin for $16,000. Authorities say right after the sale, the drugs and cash were seized by BNI agents, assisted by Philadelphia Police.

The drugs seized in Philadelphia were allegedly intended for David Garcia-Cruz, who was suspected of selling large quantities of heroin in the Reading area.

Authorities say in March 2012, a controlled drug purchase involving Garcia-Cruz in Berks County resulted in the recovery of about 336 grams of heroin, two bulletproof vests, four firearms, drug packaging materials and numerous vehicles.

Erik Kinder was also identified by BNI agents as a member of the drug organization.

Jimenez was charged with criminal use of a telephone facility, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of participating in a corrupt organization and three counts of delivery of a controlled substance.
