PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – In the wake of the trades of Shane Victorino and Hunter Pence, the Phillies have added a couple of players to the major league roster. The Phillies have recalled Domonic Brown and re-activated catcher Brian Schneider.
Brown, the former #1 ranked Phillies prospect was scratched from tonight’s lineup for the Triple A Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, and will be brought up to the major league club, according to MLB.com’s Todd Zolecki. Zolecki also noted that Brown is headed to DC to join the team.
In 60 games for Lehigh Valley this season, Brown is hitting .286 with five home runs, 28 RBIs and an OPS of .767.
