CHERRY HILL, N.J. (CBS) – An act of road rage in Cherry Hill has led to the arrest of a motorist over the weekend.

According to Cherry Hill Police, 52-year-old Charlie Williams of Medford, New Jersey was arrested and charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault and numerous weapons offenses after allegedly firing a gun at another man's vehicle.

Police say a verbal confrontation occurred between Williams and the victim, 49-year-old Timothy Strunk, while in the area of North Kings Highway and Chapel Avenue on Friday, July 27th. The confrontation is said to have stemmed from a previous motor vehicle incident.

The verbal confrontation continued on the lot of a local business and as Williams followed Strunk into a nearby neighborhood.

While in the neighborhood, Strunk confronted Williams who then fired one shot from his vehicle into Strunk's.

No one was injured and both the victim and suspect left the scene.

Strunk contacted police and an investigation identified the suspect as Williams, who was later arrested at his residence without incident.
