Police Offering $10,000 Reward For Murder Suspect In 5-Year-Old Case

By David Madden

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - South Jersey prosecutors are hoping to jog someone's memory on a 5 year old murder case. If that doesn't work, perhaps a 5 figure reward offer might do the trick.

On July 28th, 2007a neighbor in the Colonial Park mobile home community just off the Black Horse Pike in Williamstown found 65-year-old Lockey Mitten dead.

Her throat had been slashed.

"The suspect may have been aware and knew the victim because there was no sign of forced entry," says Gloucester County prosecutor Sean Dalton.

No apparent motive is known for the slaying, which continues to be investigated by county detectives and Monroe Township police.

There is still a $10,000 reward being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.

Tipsters can call the Prosecutor's Office at 856-384-5500 or Monroe Township police at 856-728-0800. Anonymous tips can also be texted to the prosecutor by typing GLOTIP and then the message and sending it to CRIMES (274637).
