NEWARK, Del. (CBS) – Delaware State Troopers are investigating an armed robbery that took place at a Wawa in Salem Village early Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred at about 1:10 a.m. when a male suspect, wearing a hood pulled over his head and a bandana covering his face, entered the Wawa convenience store in Salem Village Square.
According to Delaware State Police, the suspect confronted two employees, displayed what appeared to be a shotgun and demanded money. The employees complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect then fled the store on foot in an unknown direction. There were no injuries as a result of the incident.
