The incident played out at about 12:30 a.m. in the 400 block of W. Duncannon Avenue in the city's Olney section.

According to investigators, the SUV lost control, went over the sidewalk and came to rest against the outside wall of a church.

When officers arrived, they discovered that the 19-year-old driver had been stabbed in the chest twice. The unidentified man was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy is expected to be performed to determine an exact cause of death.
