5 Arrested In Connection To Car Burglaries In Evesham

EVESHAM, N. J. (CBS) – Five individuals have been arrested in connection to a car burglary ring that has been striking in the Burlington and Camden County area for the past few months.

During the week of July 11th, the Evesham and Cherry Hill Police Departments arrested five people who are suspected of breaking into over 100 vehicles and taking electronics, jewelry and cash.

Police report that investigators gained information that the group of suspects was selling the stolen merchandise in Evesham Township.

Authorities say that stolen merchandise was recovered after investigators stopped the group as they were transporting stolen merchandise from prior burglaries.

Chad Blunk, 18, of Mount Laurel; Emily McGuigan, 18, of Maple Shade; and a 16-year-old juvenile were charged with fourth degree receiving stolen property, unlawful possession of handcuffs and underaged possession of alcohol.

Peyton Harbidge, a 20-year-old from Marlton, was charged with fourth degree receiving stolen property, unlawful possession of handcuffs, underaged possession of alcohol, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Karl Utz, 20, of Marlton, was charged with disorderly person's offense for receiving stolen property.

All the suspects were released.
